Wednesday, October 27th, 2010
I've got a friend who is part rabid Suns fan, part entrepreneur. This is what happens when you bring those together.

That’s Brendan on the left, and Nicole on the right. I shot this while I was waiting for one of the models for the Bike Saviours calendar shoot (here’s a link: http://tempecycles.wordpress.com/2010/10/24/behind-the-scenes-of-the-bike-saviours-calendar-shoot/) to show up. The Laker Hater shirt website will be up later this week – check back for a link!

Relay For Life – Rohnert Park – Sonoma Mountain Village

Sunday, June 27th, 2010

Morgan Bellinger/The Community Voice Sift Cupcakery employees change the word "HOPE" to "CURE" halfway through the luminaria presentation at the Rohnert Park Relay For Life on Saturday night.

I got to shoot at the Rohnert Park Relay for Life, which was held in Sonoma Mountain Village from Saturday to Sunday. Here’s a shot that I really liked.

Wedding – Jenny and Peter – Phoenix Art Museum Wedding Photographer

Wednesday, March 24th, 2010

A wedding portrait taken in the installation of "You Who Are Getting Obliterated in the Dancing Swarm of Fireflies," by Yayoi Kusama.

This was a breathtaking room to shoot in, It was difficult to hide the flash and my reflection in all of the mirrors, and I didn’t want the fireflies to swarm too much and make the shot look like an outtake from an ’80s video game film.

Lighting Workshop – Sonoma/Napa Pictage User Group

Tuesday, February 9th, 2010

I spoke inside first, and then did a quick shoot outside on the patio, with both large studio lights and small hot-shoe lights.

I led a lighting workshop for a pretty varied group of photographers – the Sonoma/Napa Pictage User Group. Thanks to Megan Clouse for these images – see her work at http://www.mclouse.com. Thanks also to Centre Cafe for hosting us in their cooking demonstration space.

I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing on the left. Maybe showing the model how to dodge the thorns on the rosebushes in the middle of the set?

The group. A lot of talented people here. I got to see a couple of portfolios after the talk, and was blown away by the skill level of this group.

That's natural light on the left, and a quick setup (more for demonstration than a certain lighting look) on the right.

Thanks also to Cindi, of http://cindidechannes.com, for being our model!
