Erin and Andy had a map theme to their wedding, which brought people from all over to Hetch Hetchy, in Yosemite.

Erin had a nifty bouquet and was patient as I tried some fun lighting techniques in the wedding meadow.

The vintage dresses and color scheme went perfectly with the majestic green colors of Yosemite.

I think the patterns make this photo. There's so much to see in Yosemite, and it was an honor to be asked to photograph it.

Returning for some last-minute preparations before the ceremony.
Erin and Andy were married on June 19, 2010 at Evergreen Lodge in Yosemite, CA.

The decor had a map theme - this was one of the trail markers on the way to the wedding meadow.

Bug spray.

Music people, what kind of guitar is that? I like it.

The late afternoon light at the Evergreen Lodge wedding meadow is brilliant.

This was another wedding with several excellent photographers in attendance.

The bride's mom and dad.

I used a little flash in the portraits, but probably didn't need to - I can't say enough about the light there during the ceremony.

The hanging maps made a great backdrop to the ceremony.

I had to show this wedding dress detail - it looked like it was designed to be worn here.

When we first consulted, they mentioned that they had coached baseball together. I had forgotten about that until the groom gave the bride a signed baseball during the ceremony.

It's really lovely to edit in black and white sometimes - toning these images is so much fun.

The guitarist led the guests back to the Evergreen Lodge for the reception.

Bridesmaids and groom. Thanks for your patience during the portraits!

The guests had really cute arithmetic table assignments.

There was also a button machine - guests could cut out and make their own buttons from maps and magazines that the wedding couple brought.

This was the bride and groom that invited me to the Maker Faire - there were so many handmade touches at the wedding!

Buttons to hold flowers.

The Best Man's speech.

I love to hear groomsmen make great toasts. This was one of them.

Colors at the golden hour really shine through certain lenses - I had to put the Canon 135mm f2 away for lack of light shortly after taking this.

More toasts.

The first dance - everyone was invited.

The bride and groom chose ice cream sandwiches instead of a cake.

I think this was during "Hit Me With Your Best Shot," but I could be wrong. The band was memorable.

String lights, a guitar case, and a bouquet.

The bride and groom brought a photo booth, with some pretty awesome results.

More dancing. I love the hands in this shot.

The button machine.

These ended up in hundreds of photos - I think there's one of me in beard and red lips somewhere.

One last dancing shot. Thanks for looking!
