Oak Leaves at Briones – East Bay Landscape Photographer

Something I liked from a recent hike at Briones Regional Park in Lafayette, CA.

Shot with my 20D and 50mm – a combination that imparts a particular flavor to photographs that I can’t imagine ever doing without. It’s a sort of bread pudding softness that looks wonderful in certain situations.

Portrait – Kelly Ann – San Francisco Portrait Photographer

Kelly Ann

This is Kelly Ann. She’s a friend of mine from high school. Now she lives in a really cool house in the Outer Sunset. The sun was setting.

Wedding – Haley and JJ – Mark Hopkins – San Francisco, CA

I took a chance on lighting this one and I think it turned out well. I could have lit up the whole room, but I wanted it to have a more Dimaggio feel.

Haley and JJ were married on February 12, 2010 at the Top of the Mark [Hopkins] in San Francisco, CA.

Kevin Bordi Headshots

A pair of headshots, one theatrical, one professional, for a friend of mine from high school.

A friend of mine from high school asked me to update his headshots, so we did a quick shoot at Howarth Park in Santa Rosa.

Salt Point Mushroom Hunting

Jen and I whipped a bunch of these into a risotto last night and it tasted foresty. We picked them with the Sonoma County Mycological Association – check out their site here: http://www.somamushrooms.org/

BART Rider

BART rider 2.

Another set of two similar-but-not-similar photos from my journey around San Francisco the other day – this time, both are of a very kind woman on BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) who allowed me to take her picture. Again, the difference between these shots boggles my mind and (I hope) makes me much more careful [...]

LonjeviTea Kombucha

LonjeviTea kombucha product photo.

Shot bottles today for LonjeviTea kombucha, a company started by a friend of mine in Petaluma. Here’s their website: http://www.lonjeviteakombucha.com/

Food – SugarSweet Pastry Shoot

This is the last photo we took. Something different for me on a food shoot - I love it.

I did a shoot a couple of weeks ago for David Benton, of Sugarsweet Pastries, a couple of weeks ago and am just now getting around to posting them. I’ll be adding to this post during the next day or two, so be sure to check back to see more of these delicious desserts!

Portrait – Robyn – Sebastopol, CA

This one's got a great feel, kind of the opposite of the first few. I used big strobes for those, and just a reflector for these last few shots.

I went to high school with Robyn, and she asked me to do some photos of her, and I have a new light system to test, so we did a shoot in her backyard in Sebastopol.

Charles – The Embarcadero

Charles 2.

I wandered around San Francisco yesterday. This is Charles. The difference between his expressions in these two shots, to me, is extraordinary. I have a similar pair of portraits that I’ll post just as soon as I get permission.
